First Baptist Church encourages everyone–men, women, and children–to live a life of Christ-centered ministry and discipleship. We are a participatory church, engaging in local missions, intergenerational ministry, and radical outreach for Christ.
Volunteer in the areas of…
- Youth and Children – from nursery to youth group, find a place to plug in!
- Indian River Sports Ministry: Friday mornings at 4:30 AM – 7 AM, during football season, we host and feed breakfast to the football team and cheerleaders of Vero Beach High School, a devotion is also presented.
- Work Days: One work day a quarter on Saturdays includes clean up, repairs, and other odd jobs around the campus.
- Missions and Ministries: Engage in our neighborhood by joining teams at the Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, Wednesday Friends Ministry.
- Congregational Leadership: Greeters and ushers, smiling faces, and office volunteers are always a plus! All volunteers are asked to fill out a volunteer form (available in the office). Anyone working with youth and/or children are required to have a background check (we provide the background check information and bear the cost).
- G.R.O.W. Outreach Ministry: All are invited to reach out to churchgoers, guests, and members by writing cards, notes, making phone calls, and, at times, visiting.
- Committees and Deacons: Members of the church may serve on committees or as a deacon per the Constitutional and by-laws requirements. Please see staff for more information.
